Red Wings' Yzerman sidelined by groin injury
Red Wings captain Steve Yzerman is expected to be sidelined two to four weeks because of a groin injury.
Yzerman was injured Sunday in a practice, general manager Ken Holland said during Monday night during the Red Wings' game against Pittsburgh.
The 40-year-old forward played two of the first 10 games this season because of a groin injury, then was on the ice for 19 of 20 before being scratched Monday.
Yzerman has four goals and five assists in 21 games this season and leads all active players with 1,730 points in 22 seasons, all with Detroit.
